Many provincial accounting bodies are undertaking merger discussions, and working to unite under the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

The new CPA program will be available in some provinces in September 2013, and will provide students with a breadth of highly valued business and accounting skills, plus hands-on experience that will ensure they meet the needs of businesses and organizations of all sizes and across all sectors. It will give students a competitive edge in the marketplace and create the foundation for a prosperous and exciting career in Canada or abroad.
